Homebirth/Natural Childbirth Meetings       Childbirth Meetings

These meetings are a great place to learn about birth. You do not have to be having a home birth to attend. Practitioners can also network at these events. This is a great way to meet people and educate yourself whether you are a parent or practitioner. All are welcome.

CHICAGO-AREA HOMEBIRTH MEETUP
Join expectant parents, doulas, midwives and other homebirth enthusiasts to talk about all things birth. If you're curious about your options for laboring and birthing outside the hospital setting, this is a great place to meet others for conversation and support. The gathering will begin with introductions, tea, and cookies. Then there will be a discussion or presentation. As always, spouses and partners are encouraged to attend and children are welcome!

C.H.O.I.C.E.S. NATURAL BIRTH AND PARENTING NETWORK MEETUP (NORTHWEST INDIANA)

A great place to meet Northwest Indiana moms and dads who are interested in natural and holistic ways of pregnancy, birth and parenting. Promoting wellness and positive attitudes towards a healthy pregnancy, gentle birth experience, breastfeeding and informed parenting. Free monthly community meetings. We encourage husbands/partners to attend, along with babies in arm!

GIVING BIRTH & BEYOND CHICAGO-AREA MEETUP

First and foremost supporting moms (and any other family member) during the early childhood years. A resource for sharing information and discussing important topics. Parents are encouraged to email each other and set up their own groups and activities privately. Gather information, empower yourself and find what works best for you. Hosted by Jo Anne Lindberg, president and founder of BirthLink.

We are currently cross promoting with Cheers and Chicago Homebirth Meetups for activities. We also have an occasional workshop offered by BirthLink practitioner members.

Having a baby after a cesarean surgery can leave a mother with many questions and many fears. Those mothers who have experienced VBAC know just how hard it can be sometimes to achieve the normal, vaginal birth we all deserve.
