Energy Medicine
Through the study of physics we come to fully understand that we are creatures of both matter and energy. While conventional Western Medicine techniques approach healing through manipulation of our material aspect (surgery, pharmaceuticals, and nutrients as examples), Energy Medicine techniques work through influencing the energetic fields which surround and interpenetrate us— fields that are as intimately a part of our being as are our solid bodies.
The field of Energy Medicine, by convention, also generally includes those techniques that approach human healing from a spiritual standpoint. Hence, both low-level laser light therapies and distance intercessory prayer might be included in this designation.
